India Post, ING Vysya Life tie up

Bangalore, March 10

India Post has tied up with the ING Vysya Life Insurance Co Ltd for payment of renewal premiums.Speaking at a media briefing on the arrangement, Ms Meera Datta, Principal Chief Postmaster General (Karnataka Circle), said here on Friday, "The arrangement will allow renewal payments through any one of the 511 computerised post offices in the State." She said that India Post would earn about Rs 5 per transaction, through its arrangement with ING Vysya Life. The payment facilities would be extended to the remaining post offices also once computerisation was completed, she added. - Our Bureau
