Aquaculture States - Other States Fishing harbour work apace Karaikal, March 12 The first phase of work on establishing a new fishing harbour on an outlay of Rs 40 crore in Karaikal were progressing at a fast pace. The first phase of the work costing Rs 18 crore will be completed in a few months and the second phase of work costing Rs 22 crore will begin from June or July this year. The officials who inspected the progress of work of the new fishing harbour being constructed by the Centre, said that natural stones (huge granite stones and boulders) we re being brought from Tindivanam area in Tamil Nadu and were being laid for a stretch of 400 metres from the shore into the sea for establishing the new fishing harbour. — Our Bureau More Stories on : Aquaculture | Shipping | Other States
