Bangalore’s CADES to provide engg services for Fokker Elmo

Bangalore, March 18 Bangalore-based CADES has been chosen to provide engineering services for the Netherlands-based Fokker Elmo, a specialist in electrical interconnection systems for aircraft and aero engines.

Fokker Elmo will use CADES’ services to manufacture electrical systems for programmes from Boeing, Airbus and other aircraft manufacturers, CADES said.

Dedicated teams

Dedicated CADES teams will work both in Europe and in India to provide design, stress analysis and validation for wire harness systems and related structures.

Mr Dataram Mishra, Managing Director & CEO of CADES, said, “The services provided under this partnership will be eligible for offset credit in India. This long-term strategic partnership is expected to generate revenue of several million US dollars per year.”

Mr Jan Lagasse, President, Fokker Elmo B.V., said, “Our partner in India – which is a strategic country for our customers – creates further value by its affordable cost structure and provides us with the flexibility and capacity necessary to further strengthen our position in the market.”

Worldwide customers

CADES has supported 50 customers worldwide from aerospace and automotive sectors – among them Boeing, EADS, MT Aerospace, HAL, DRDO, ISRO, DaimlerChrysler, Nissan, Volvo and Volkswagen.

Fokker Elmo, a part of Stork Aerospace, supplies to Boeing, Airbus, Lockheed Martin, Rolls Royce, Hamilton Sundstrand, Pratt & Whitney and Raytheon.
