Max New York launches new health schemes

Max New York Life Insurance has introduced its range of Lifeline Health Insurance plans in the Kerala market, which brings long term insurance coverage for hospitalisation, surgeries and critical illness.

The Lifeline series comprises of Medicash Plans, Wellness Plan and the Safety Net. Speaking on the occasion, Mr Rajender Sud, Senior Vice-President (Agency) – West and South said that the Lifeline series is being launched with comprehensive training to all agent advisors across the country to provide need based solutions to customers. The launch will also backed by elaborate marketing efforts to create awareness about health insurance and its importance to all consumers in the country, he said.

He pointed out that penetration level of health insurance in India is only 1.2 per cent. The total spending in health care in the country is Rs 86,000 crore and of this, the Government spending is only 17 per cent and 15.40 per cent from insurance.

Majority of the people is depending on personal sources to meet the health care requirements. Considering this, there is a need for financial planning as far as health care is concerned, he added.
