Toni&Guy plans more salons

Our Bureau

Hyderabad, March 19 Toni&Guy, a London-based hairdressing company, is planning to set up its franchisee salons in five metro cities in the country soon.

“Our salon in Mumbai, opened about 18 months ago, is doing good business. We will be opening our second salon in Mumbai besides foraying into at least five more cities over next one year,” Mr Bill Watson, International Artistic Director, Toni&Guy Academy, told Business Line here. Efforts are on to find franchisees in Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Bangalore and Mumbai, he added.

The global brand, which operates 290 salons across the world with over 7,000 staffers, will also focus on training locals in India in fashionable hairdressing.

“We don’t believe in importing/exporting talent. We love to equip the locals with the latest trends and high-end equipment,” Mr Watson said.

Toni&Guy Academy, the research and training wing of the company, would work with the salons in different parts to impart the training.
