SIDBI opens second branch in Hyderabad

Hyderabad, March 19 The Small Industries Development Bank of India’s (SIDBI) Hyderabad branch expects the total disbursement to touch Rs 575 crore by end of current fiscal, a growth of 60 per cent over last year’s Rs 359 crore.

Addressing a news conference after inaugurating the second branch in the city and the fourth in the State, Mr R. M. Malla, Chairman and Managing Director, SIDBI, said, “The bank is continuously expanding its reach in the last two years by opening more branches across the country and currently has 72 branches.”

According to him, the cumulative disbursement in the State was Rs 4,222 crore as on date. The bank’s outstanding portfolio was Rs 1,331 crore of which Rs 569 crore was direct credit.
