Events States - Tamil Nadu Buddhadeb to meet Coimbatore entrepreneurs G Gurumurthy Coimbatore, March 31 The West Bengal Chief Minister, Mr Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee, and his team of officials are to meet representatives of Coimbatore-based industries and entrepreneurs here tomorrow. The meeting is designed to invite the region’s industries to invest in West Bengal, according to industry sources. The meeting, being hosted by Southern India Mills Association (SIMA) and expected to be attended by members of a few other industry bodies in the region, will consider the various incentives being offered by the West Bengal Government to promote new business ventures there. According to a spokesman of SIMA, the office-bearers and committee members of SIMA to figure in tomorrow’s meeting with Mr Bhattacharjee will seek special package of incentives for the State’s textile entrepreneurs who may be willing to invest in Bengal. Besides the textile industry representatives, members of the wind mill producers association and the Coimbatore small scale industries association have also been invited to the meeting with the Chief Minister who is to be accompanied by top Government officials.
