DRDO scientists bag awards

Bangalore, March 31

Scientists and staff belonging to the Bangalore regionbased labs of the Defence Research & Development Organisation (DRDO) have bagged a chunk of the annual national DRDO awards for 2007, according to a release here. Mr Mohit Kumar of LRDE, Mr B.N. Lokesha of DARE and Dr Om Prakash Chauhan of DFRL (Mysore), have won the Young Scientist awards. Winners of the Best Performance awards are Mr Abdul Wajid of LRDE, Ms S. Nirmala of CEMILAC, Mr K. Jayaprakash Rao, Regional PRO, DRDO (South), Ms V. Gayathri of CAIR, Mr M. Solairaju, Mr N. Santharam of CVRDE (Chennai), and Mr B. Sree Kumar of NPOL (Kochi). - Our Bureau
