Outlook Infogain Corp upbeat on Indian market L.N. Revathy Coimbatore, April 2 Infogain Corporation, which specialises in services for the retail, high-tech manufacturing and software verticals, is quite upbeat about the India market. In a telephonic chat with Business Line, its President and Chief Executive Mr Kapil Nanda said the market for second generation companies was huge in India, especially because the bigger players were finding it difficult to cater the requirements of smaller companies. The emerging players, to sustain in this global competitive environment, should look beyond the US market, offer value proposition in terms of processes and products, narrow down focus and build domain expertise, look at specific technologies and build better relationship, among others. Customer acquisitionThe issue today is “how one acquires customers”. Though outsourcing has come to stay, it has all along been considered a unique idea. With customers becoming more demanding, each of the emerging players would have to prove the value proposition of their model. On Infogain’s focus area, he said the company excelled in the retail services, registering more than 100 per cent growth year-on-year. “Outsourced product development services account for one-third of our business and we have done reasonably well in the software services space.”
