Coimbatore, April 3 Akruti City Ltd has informed that in view of the inordinate delay in receiving the necessary approvals from the Department of Industrial Promotion and Policy (DIPP), Ministry of Commerce and Industry, coupled with uncertain market conditions, the board of directors of the company has decided not to proceed further with the proposed issue of equity shares to AIG GRE Investment Corp and CVCIGP on a preferential basis.

Hindalco Industries Ltd has informed that the scheme of amalgamation between Indian Aluminium Company Ltd and Hindalco Industries Ltd has been approved by the High Courts of Judicature of Bombay and Kolkata. The scheme has been made effective by the board of directors of the company on March 25, 2008.

House of Pearl Fashions Ltd has informed that the board of directors at its meeting held on April 2, approved a joint venture agreement with LERROS Moden GmbH, a German Multinational Company for launching apparels, accessories in single brand category in India under the brand name ‘LERROS’, subject to necessary Government/regulatory approvals.

Panchmahal Steel Ltd has commissioned the new steel melting shop, increasing the steel making capacity of the company from 50,000 MT to 1,50,000 MT per annum

Sadbhav Engineering Ltd has informed that the consortium led by the company has been awarded project worth Rs 166.88 crore by the Government of Andhra Pradesh Irrigation and CAD Department in joint venture with Gokul Krishna Construction Pvt Ltd in the ratio of 52:48 in Karimnagar District.

SRF Ltd has informed that 6 wind turbine generators have been commissioned in Tamil Nadu as on March 31.
