The Hindu Business Line : Volvo showcases 2 construction equipment in Kochi

Kochi, April 4 Volvo Construction Equipment (CE) has reinforced its presence in the Kerala market by showcasing two of its high performing products — Vibratory Soil Compactor and Hydraulic Excavator — in Kochi.

Mr Mrityunjaya Singh, Head, Volvo CE, said this is part of company’s plans to grow the market and expand its share in the region. Kerala, he said, offers immense growth in the infrastructure sector, which has given impetus to growth of construction equipment requirement.

Volvo CE is already an established brand in construction and mining segment through its wide range of construction equipment offering various products.

Dealer network

With the purchase of Ingersoll Rand’s road machinery business, the company is now stronger in terms of product, distribution and sourcing, he said and added that there are also plans to expand dealer network, which offers superior parts and services and unprecedented industry knowledge.

He pointed out that Indian road network offers tremendous opportunity for equipment manufacturers to deliver world-class technology for infrastructure growth.

He aid there were plans to bring more models of CE in the country and the current capacity of 1,000 units at its Bangalore facility will be doubled.
