Performance ECIL turnover at Rs 1,014 crore Our Bureau Hyderabad, April 11 Electronics Corporation of India Ltd (ECIL) has announced that it has achieved a turnover of Rs 1,014 crore for the financial year ended March 2008. The company’s profit before tax for the year under review was at Rs 160 crore. The public-sector undertaking said it had logged a turnover of over Rs 1,000 crore for the second consecutive year; the figure for fiscal 2007 was Rs 1,006 crores. “The company for the current financial year expects the turnover to touch Rs 1,500 crore and currently has the best ever opening order book of around Rs 1,000 crore,” a release from ECIL said. “The supplies include control and instrumentation equipment for nuclear and thermal power stations, communication products and systems to the Ministry of Defence, antenna stabilisation platforms for light combat aircrafts and also Internet management systems and integrated security systems to many crucial installations in the country,” the company said.
