Ramadorai, CEO and Managing Director, Tata Consultancy Services. Speaking at the second convocation ceremony of the city-based Asian School of Business, he pointed out that corporate India is going global and taking over companies across the world. Along with that, corporate India is bringing in more professional managers and has recognised the need for managerial leadership. The world’s best managers and engineers are required to shape the new India, he added. Earlier, addressing the gathering, Dr K. Ramakrishnan, Director, Asian School of Business, said that the institute would move into its own campus early next year. The institute, which currently offers a full-time post-graduate programme in management, has also started offering several short-term executive development programmes. It is also looking at starting a post-graduate programme in retail in association with the Future Group and is keen to start a post-graduate programme for entry level bankers, he said. Asian School of Business will expand its bouquet of courses once it moves to its own campus. In addition to the director, the institute now has six full-time faculty members and three more professors are expected to join in a few months. More Stories on : Education | Human Resources | Kerala
