Margdarsi MD to get Yudhvir award

Hyderabad, April 24

Mr Shankar S. Melkote, Managing Director of Margdarsi Marketing Company, has been selected for the 17th Yudhvir Memorial Foundation Award. The annual award consisting of a citation and cash amount of Rs 50,000 is presented on April 30, every year, which is the birthday of late Mr Yudhvir, a noted journalist and founder of the Hindi Milap. Mr Melkote, in addition to his professional accomplishments, is a well-known theatre personality in Hyderabad. He founded the Little The atre, which seeks to popularise the written word through dramatisation of texts. The award function would also include a special lecture by the recipient, according to a press release from the Yudhvir Foundation, which organises the event.
