Mahindra Lifespace net zooms

Mumbai, April 26

Mahindra Lifespace Developers Ltd, the real estate and infrastructure development arm of the Mahindra Group, has registered a 361 per cent rise in net profit at Rs 65.38 crore for the year-ended March 31, 2008, against Rs 14.18 crore logged during the previous year. Total income increased from Rs 163.26 crore to Rs. 219.96 crore, registering a growth of 35 per cent. The earnings per share for the year is Rs 16, compared to Rs 3.82 in the previous year. The board of direct ors has recommended payment of dividend on the 10.5 per cent non-cumulative redeemable preference capital and 25 per cent on the outstanding equity capital. Together with the dividend distribution tax, the amount absorbed would be Rs 13.16 crore, a release from the company said.
