Suven Life net dips 33%

Hyderabad, April 26

Suven Life Sciences Ltd’s net profit decreased 33.3 per cent to Rs 1.94 crore in the fourth quarter of financial year ended March 31, 2008 against Rs 2.91 crore in corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal. The decline in the net profit was due to rupee appreciation which had an adverse impact on the Hyderabad-based company to the tune of Rs 7.44 crore, according to a press release. For the year 2007-08, net profit declined 27 per cent to Rs 8.26 crore (Rs 11.31 crore). The revenues, however, increased to Rs 123.04 crore from Rs 114.51 crore in the previous year.
