Nabard sanctions Rs 290 cr to AP

Hyderabad, April 29

The National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (Nabard) has sanctioned Rs 290 crore to Andhra Pradesh, comprising 11.3 per cent of all the bank’s Rs 2,572 crore sanctions for all States this month.

The funds, sanctioned under the Rural Infrastructure Development Fund, would be utilised for taking up 2,706 projects in areas of minor irrigation, drinking water, anganwadi and veterinary institutes, a bank release said here.
