People Industry & Economy - Industry Associations New IAMAI Chairman New Delhi, May 1 The governing board of Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI) has elected Mr Sanjeev Bikhchandani, Founder and CEO of Info Edge India Ltd, as its Chairman for 2008-09. Meanwhile, Mr Ajit Balakrishnan, Founder, Chairman and Managing Director of Rediff.com, has been named the Chairman Emeritus of the IAMAI. In his capacity as the Chairman Emeritus, a life-time appointment, Mr Balakrishnan would head the Council of former Chairpersons and provide strategic directi on to the association as well as the Internet and mobile content and services industry, a release said here. Mr Sanjay Aggarwal, General Manager, Operations, Indian Railways Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC), has been elected the Vice-Chairman of the association, and Mr Ratish Nair, Co-Founder, Interactive Avenues, the treasurer for 2008-09. — Our Bureau More Stories on : People | Industry Associations
