Spencer’s Retail investment plans

New Delhi, May 9

RPG promoted Spencer’s Retail said it is looking to invest Rs 1,500 crore to open around 250 new retail outlets across the country. The company is also in talks with several international retailers for a tie-up, Mr Sanjeev Goenka, Vice-Chairman, RPG Enterprises, told news persons after inaugurating its hyper format outlets in Ghaziabad and Gurgaon. Currently, there are 400 Spencer’s stores across 65 cities in the country with a total area of 1.5 million sq ft, which get an annual footfall of 48 million people. It is eyeing a turnover of Rs 1,800 crore by the end of current financial year.
