Bank credit up by Rs 16,000 cr

Mumbai, June 21 Net bank credit for the fortnight ended June 6 increased by Rs 16,001 crore, according to the Reserve Bank of India’s weekly statistical supplement.

This is the third fortnight in a row that bank credit has seen an increase.

The total loans outstanding are to the tune of Rs 23,80,418 crore.

Food credit decreased by Rs 5,105 crore to Rs 49,237 crore and non-food credit increased by Rs 21,106 crore to Rs 23,31,180 crore.
