Kronos ties up with Bharat Forge

Our Bureau

Bangalore, June 21 Global workforce solutions firm Kronos Inc, which launched its Indian operations last year, has signed up with Pune-based Bharat Forge Ltd to help the company manage performance and productivity of its employees.

“As cost per employee increases, companies have to get the maximum out of them,” said Mr Mick Adamson, Vice-President, International Business, Kronos Inc.

For Bharat Forge, Kronos will use its workforce management processes to help the company increase employee productivity through tracking of time/attendance, scheduling and managing shifts and implementing labour laws.

The company has an alliance with Satyam Computers Ltd for implementation of the system at Bharat Forge.

Globally, Kronos has around 60,000 customers from various industries with a significant presence in manufacturing, healthcare, retail and services industries.

Apart from manufacturing, the $700-million Kronos Inc is also looking at the service and retail sectors to offer its solutions. In India, Kronos services companies like Nokia and Dell which are its international customers.

Productivity improvements and effective management of workforce is a key driving factor for India’s ongoing economic success, Mr Adamson said, adding, “We want to capitalise on the potential of the people in the country and this is the right time to come to India.”
