AP extends deadline for building regularisation

Our Bureau

Hyderabad, June 29 The Andhra Pradesh Government has extended the deadline for regularisation of unauthorised constructions and deviations up to July 15, under the building regularisation scheme.

The State has earlier issued the Andhra Pradesh Regulation and penalisation of unauthorisedly constructed buildings and building constructed in deviation of sanctioned plan rules (in) 2007. This was issued to penalise for buildings constructed in deviation of the sanctioned plan or without plan prior to December 15, 2007. The Government extended the deadline for filing applications to June 30, 2008.

To help all those who have not been able to file their applications, this extension was announced, according to a statement from the office of the State Principal Secretary, Municipal Administration and Urban Development.

The statement was that all citizens may avail themselves of the last chance, failing which stringent enforcement action (including demolition after expiry of the deadline) may be initiated.
