Coimbatore, July 2 Ashapura Minechem Ltd has said there has been an administrative delay in granting permits for bauxite export from the mines of the company’s subsidiaries. The company has taken up the matter with the State Government and is also pursuing suitable legal remedies. In the interim, the company’s bauxite volume in the first and second quarters of the current fiscal is expected to be adversely affected, but it is confident of resolving it in a short period of time.

FDC Ltd has received approval from the US FDA for its Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA) Ciprofloxacin Ophthalmic Solution, a broad spectrum antibiotic used for ocular surface infections.The company has also received approval for Timolol Maleate Ophthalmic Solution. Another ANDA Ofloxacin Ophthalmic Solution is in the final stages of approval.

Godawari Power & Ispat Ltd has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Chhattisgarh for setting-up a cement plant with two million tonnes an annum capacity of cement and one million tonne an annum capacity of clinker along with a power plant of 50 MW capacity.

Sobha Developers Ltd has announced Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) by Pan Atlantic LLC, Dubai in its new project to be launched at Hosahalli, Bangalore South. The foreign investor has contributed $10 million for its 40 per cent interest in this venture and a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) has been formed to develop a residential township.
