Education Info-Tech - IT Training ICA to set up 55 centres for courses on hardware, retail Our Bureau Kolkata, July 12 The Institute of Computer Accountants (ICA) plans to set up 55 self-owned and self-operated centres for courses on hardware & networking and retail management at a cost of Rs 100 crore. While 20 of these new centres would offer courses on hardware and networking with international certification from Microsoft and Redhat, the remaining 35 would offer courses on retail management. ICA already has 300 centres across the country that offer courses in computer accountancy. Of these, 65 are owned and operated by the institute directly while the rest are owned and managed by franchisees. Addressing a news conference here, Mr N.K. Shyamsukha, Chairman, ICA, said the investment required for implementing the company’s hardware & networking and retail management courses would be generated from internal accruals. He added that more centres would be rolled out in franchisee mode.
