Murrali Chennai, July 12 Barely a few months after signing an agreement with The Oriental Insurance Co to offer emergency roadside vehicle assistance to the insurer’s customers, MyTVS is in talks with Royal Sundaram and Bajaj Allianz to provide similar services to their respective clients. ‘Our Oriental – MyTVS Emergency Roadside Assistance’ is offered to Oriental policyholders for passenger cars and taxis not older than 10 years. Mr R. Srivatchan, President (Customer Centric Business) of TVS & Sons, told Business Line that the company is in talks with some more insurance companies, both private and public sector. In addition, MyTVS intends to offer ‘cashless’ services — the customer only has to inform MyTVS and the company will do the repairs and collect the charges from the insurer. MyTVS reported a turnover of Rs 100 crore in 2007-08. So far it has invested about Rs 25 crore and had 20,000 members before the tie-up with Oriental which brought in 1.2 million more customers. This base would swell to over 3 million after MyTVS ties up with other insurance companies, Mr Srivatchan said.
