Events States - Karnataka Karnataka Govt to hold co-op meet Our Bureau Mangalore, July 14 The Karnataka Government will conduct a seven-day ‘sahakari mela’ for the benefit of people from cooperative sector. The ‘mela’ will create awareness about the implementation of the Vaidyanathan Committee report among others. Addressing media persons here on Monday, the Karnataka Cooperation Minister, Mr Lakshman Savadi, said the Government is contemplating the implementation of the report in full. However, there are some queries in the minds of some people from the cooperative sector on the recommendations of the report. The ‘mela’ will make an effort to educate people from the sector on the recommendations. The Government is planning to conduct this ‘mela’ either in Bangalore or Hubli after the rainy season. The report of the committee is likely to be implemented in six months’ time, he said. There will be no interference of the Government in the affairs of the cooperative institutions after the implementation of the committee report. More Stories on : Events | Karnataka
