More Axis Bank priority lounges

Our Bureau

Coimbatore, July 16 Axis Bank has moved beyond product introduction by initiating the exclusive priority banking lounge and dedicated branches for its high-end customers.

The bank has, since the introduction of this concept about 15 months ago, operationalised five branches for this priority customer segment at Hyderabad, Mumbai, Pune and Delhi and launched three priority banking lounges at Chennai, Hyderabad and Coimbatore.

It plans to add five priority lounges before the end of this year.

“We will be launching it shortly in Kochi and Bangalore, followed by one more lounge in Chennai,” its Zonal Head and President, Mr C.P. Rangarajan, told Business Line.

Facilities

The facilities at these lounges include a business centre/private conference room for the customers to conduct their official meetings, children’s play area, wi-fi enabled environment with two PCs for the customers to operate and transact, valet parking and an experience room for customers to showcase their hidden talent such as art, photography etc.

Besides providing the space, the bank has also appointed dedicated relationship managers for these customers. “We also offer wealth management service and have in place dedicated financial advisers to advice our NRI clients,” he said.

“With high net worth individuals accounting for a third of our customer base, we decided to extend some exclusivity for this group of customers. The response has been tremendous,” he said, while refusing to comment on the investment.

How many more priority branches does the bank plan to open? “We have to get the regulator’s nod for opening such branches. But the lounge is only an extension of the facility.”
