CAs have a key role in growth

Hyderabad, July 18

The Chartered Accountants (CAs) should be prepared to play a diversified role in economic growth, Mr S. Jaipal Reddy, Union Minister for Urban Development, said. In his inaugural address at the Diamond Jubilee celebration of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) here on Friday, Mr Reddy said, "Without your active involvement, the business growth cannot be assured." The CAs should keep abreast of the latest trends in their profession globally, he added. Mr Ved Jain, President, ICAI, said measures would be taken to popularise second tier accounting course for training accounting technicians. - Our Bureau
