Maples ESM expanding overseas

L.N. Revathy

Coimbatore, July 18 Maples ESM Technologies Pvt Ltd is looking to expand its training centres overseas.

The company, which has tied up with four universities in China, is expected to announce its foray into Malaysia next month. It is upbeat about the Philippines, an emerging alternative IT outsourcing destination and the West Asian market, which according to its Chief operating Officer, Mr V.M. Kumar, ‘is interesting, yet unexplored’ by Maples. The company has offices in the US and Japan.

“We have finalised the tie-up in Malaysia,” he said, preferring to maintain confidentiality about the joint venture partner in that country until the formal announcement, expected to be made next month.

He said the company proposed to open a training centre in the Delhi-NCR region within the next couple of months.

Facilities

Maples imparts high-end IT training in focused lines such as Remote Infrastructure Management (RIM) and IBM Mainframe. It has two facilities in Chennai and one each in Pune, Hyderabad, Madurai, Tiruchi and Coimbatore.

Maples recently joined hands with the Anna University, Tiruchi to offer diploma programmes in RIM and IBM Mainframe. “The programme duration ranges between 3 and 6 months and is expected to benefit students in the 50 Anna University-affiliated institutes in and around that belt. The first batch of 30 would go live by the end of this month,” Mr Kumar said.
