Engineering Engg export council seeks multiple entry biz visas to Asean Our Bureau Hyderabad, July 26 The Engineering Export Promotion Council (EEPC) has sought assistance from the authorities of the Royal Thai Consulate, the Consulate General of Malaysia and the Australian Trade Commission for getting multiple entry business visas. “Even though visas are issued liberally for businessmen from India, we would like to seek assistance in getting multiple entry visas for a longer term as it will help develop business immensely between the two countries,” Mr Mahesh K. Desai, Vice-Chairman of EEPC, said while addressing a seminar Focus Asean+2 (Australia & New Zealand) here recently. He urged Mr Paisan Maraprygsavan, Deputy Consul-General (Commerce) of Royal Thai Consulate, Mr Zainuddin A. Jalil, Trade Commissioner, Consulate-General of Malaysia, and Mr Rama Krishna D., Business Development Manager, Australia Trade Commission, to extend the necessary help in this regard. Mr Desai also wanted them to arrange for more number of inbound business delegations to India as they could explore business opportunities here which would especially help the SME sector. Insisting that geographical proximity did make sense to expand business opportunities, despite IT revolution, Mr Desai said that increased flight connectivity to Asean nations with south Indian cities was giving greater impetus to trade with India. “The Council is actively engaged in organising promotional events within and outside the country. To take it forward we would be organising India Engineering Exhibition 2008 at Kuala Lumpur on September 25 and 26,” he said. More Stories on : Engineering | Exports & Imports | Transport
