Veejay Lakshmi cuts production

Coimbatore, July 25 Coimbatore-based textile machinery manufacturer Veejay Lakshmi Engineering Works Ltd has decided to cut down production due to demand slowdown and restrictions imposed by the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board on power supply. In a communication to the Bombay Stock Exchange on Friday, the company said that it has reduced the number of shifts from three to two because of the restrictions placed by TNEB on power supply and due to the slowdown in demand for textile machinery. - Our Bureau
