Jagran Prakashan Q1 net declines

New Delhi, July 30 Media company Jagran Prakashan’s profits during the first quarter were down 8.82 per cent to Rs 31.65 crore compared to the corresponding quarter the previous year.

Net sales up

Net sales during the quarter were up 12.57 per cent to Rs 206.4 core against Rs 183.42 crore reported during the corresponding quarter the previous year.

“This was a difficult quarter, given the negative sentiments on all economic front, but our company could still continue to achieve higher than the industry’s overall growth in advertisement revenue,” said Mr Mahendra Mohan Gupta, Chairman and Managing Director, Jagran Prakashan.

The publisher of Dainik Jagran and other publications is also involved in outdoor advertising and event management services.
