Kerala plans more forex counters

Thiruvananthapuram, July 30

The Postal Department will open more foreign exchange counters all over the State, according to the Chief Post Master-General (Kerala Circle), Mr Uday Balakrishnan. Mr Balakrishnan and Mr Mervin Alexander, Director of Postal Services, said here that as of now four foreign exchange counters, at Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam, Thrissur and Kozhikode, were functioning in the State and all of them were doing good business as they offered competitive rates. They said the instant money order service and e-post facilities offered by the department were increasingly becoming popular with the public. - Our Bureau
