Agro Tech income at Rs 220 cr
Hyderabad, July 31
Agro Tech Foods Ltd, an arm of ConAgra Foods, has
registered a total income of Rs 220 crore for the
quarter ended June 2008 against Rs 252 crore in the
corresponding period last year. As part of the company's
strategy to reduce exposure to commodities trading
business, the contribution from this segment had gone
down to Rs 49 crore in the quarter against Rs 111.42 crore
in the same period last year, Mr Sachin Gopal, Chief
Operating Officer, said here in a press release. On the
other hand, the branded foods contributed Rs 170 crore
against Rs 140 crore, showing a growth of 21 per cent.
The company showed a net profit of Rs 2.71 crore against
Rs 2.52 crore. - Our Bureau
