Opinion - Letters
Develop or perish

It is heartening to note that India is attracting investments in real-estate by NRIs. Home sales to NRIs have tripled in the last six months.

As poverty breeds poverty (low income leads to low investment, low employment and low income/poverty), appreciable economic growth of a country (in terms of sound infrastructure, possibility of more returns on investment, abundant qualitative human resources, and so on) attracts lots of foreign investments which, in turn, help generate more employment and growth.

The underlying message in India’s economic growth story is ‘Develop or perish’.
