Coimbatore, Aug. 11 Deccan Gold Mines Ltd has concluded a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with JB Mining Holdings Ltd, Hong Kong (JB) whereby DGML shall carry out the entire gold exploration, resource estimation and planning for feasibility studies to facilitate mining activities for projects in the Republic of Djibouti, North East Africa.

Godawari Power and Ispat Ltd has signed a MoU with the Government of Chhattisgarh for setting up manufacturing facilities under its expansion programme in Chhattisgarh at a proposed investment of Rs 1,570 crore.

Indo Rama Synthetics India Ltd has said that due to high input cost of petrochemical-based raw materials viz, PTA & MEG and the company’s inability to cut product prices, the company has decided to shutdown its polyester plant till the third week of August.

Ingersoll Rand (India) Ltd has clarified that there was no proposal by its parent company, Ingersoll Rand Company Ltd, Bermuda for making an open offer to the Indian shareholders.

National Thermal Power Corporation Ltd (NTPC) has said a MoU was signed on August 8 at New Delhi among NTPC Ltd, NHPC Ltd, Power Finance Corporation Ltd and Tata Consultancy Services Ltd for incorporation of a joint venture company to set up and operate a power exchange at the national level.

This power exchange would provide a neutral and transparent electronic platform for trading of power on “day ahead basis” and ensure clearing of all trades in a transparent, fair and open manner with access to all players in the power markets.
