India joins Creativity World Forum

Bangalore, Aug.13

India has joined the privileged club of the Creativity World Forum, initiated by the Northern Belgian Province of Flanders, with the formal launch of a chapter here.. The District Creativity Platform of Karnataka, led by three premier institutions, the Indian Institute of Science, Visveswaraiah Technology Institute and Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore, will lead the initiative in India for collaboration with the other member districts from Canada, France, China, J apan and Germany. The focus of the Flanders Creativity World Forum will be to harness the synergies of members in research and development for beneficial application of technologies and use creativity of each to improve governance, education and the quality of life of the communities. Prof. H.P.Khincha, Vice-Chancellor of Visvesaraiah Technological University, said the forum should be used for creating new ideas, culture and bring economic values through constant collaboration among the members. He said the tool of creativity should be used for improving governance in all spheres of life and harness technology through innovation for better application for the betterment of the society.
