Hyderabad, Aug 13

An Indian electronic company made LED display system has brightened up football stadiua and helped improve spectators’ viewing experience of the game at the popular Barcelona Sports Club in Ecuador. The LED (Light emitting diode) display systems made by Hyderabad-based MIC Electronics were used during a football match at Guayaquil on August 10. According to the company, the technical excellence displayed prompted the Latin American Football Corporation to form a join t venture (JV) with MIC Electronics Inc, US, called as SLM (Sports LED Media). In a press release, the company said the brightness, excellent resolution and wide angle visibility made an impact on the spectators, players and stadium authorities. The JV is poised to supply display systems to 50 football stadia in South America and Europe. The total supplies are valued at $50 million. The first system of the 50 is already delivered, installed and made operational, MIC Electronics said. The entire display system spanning close to 240 sq m will be centrally controlled. It is based on MICs proprietary scan-technology.
