Singapore hosts World Malayalee Council meet

Kochi, Aug. 26 Doha Bank and its associate Doha Brokerage and Financial Services Ltd participated in the World Malayalee Conference hosted by the World Malayalee Council in Singapore last week. The conference was attended by Malayalees from over 20 countries.

Mr R. Seetharaman, CEO, Doha Bank, and Chairman of DBFS, delivered an address at the conference.

During the panel discussions, Mr Prince George, MD and CEO of Doha Brokerage and Financial Services Ltd, made a presentation underlining the importance of India as an emerging investment destination.

Prominent dignitaries who attended the conference include Mr S.R. Nathan, President of Singapore; Mr George Yeo, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Singapore; Mr Balaji Sadasivam, Minister of Education, Singapore; Mr Binoy Viswam, Minister for Forest, Wild Life Protection and Housing; Mr Amitabh Kant, Principal Secretary, Industries, and Mr Manoj Joshi, MD, Kerala State Industrial Development Corporation, among others.

A Heritage Exhibition, showcasing over 130 artefacts and panels of historic relevance about the heritage and culture of Kerala, was also conducted along the sidelines of the conference.

Ms Shobana, Ms Usha Uthoop and actor Mammoty participated in the cultural event, organised as part of the conference.
