DoT revises schedule for 3G auction agency process

Our Bureau

New Delhi, Aug. 26 The Department of Telecom has postponed the process to appoint an agency which will conduct the auction of spectrum for third generation mobile services.

The pre-bid conference for receiving the request for proposals from various agencies was to start on Wednesday.

It will now start on September 8 and, therefore, all the other dates have been revised.

The date for submission of the technical and financial bids will now be on September 22 instead of September 3. DoT officials said that revised schedule will not delay the 3G roll-out.

The schedule has been revised after some of the prospective bidders sought more time.
