Despite rains: All roads were blocked by the Trinamool Congress in Kolkata on Friday. The party, led by Ms Mamata Banerjee, called a State wide one-hour road block to intensify the protest on the farm-land issue of Tata Motors car project at Singur. The party has been holding ‘dharna’ in front of the plant site at Singur for the last six days demanding the return of 400 acres acquired for the project from the unwilling farmers.
