EdServ launches job-linked learning course

Our Bureau

Chennai, Sept. 1 EdServ Softsystems Ltd, an education and placement company, has launched LAMPS (Learning, Assessment, Management, Placement System), a Web-based e-learning solution. Using the company’s HEADS (Humanware Education And Deployment System) model, the solution connects industry to the student by job-linked learning and assessment.

LAMPS runs in a Web-accessible framework in EdServ centres across India. It ensures that every EdServ student undergoes a skill-matched, industry vetted and job-linked course. It is capable of registering students, accepting job positions from industry and delivering e-learning contents based on the student’s choice of jobs, according to a company press release.

Every student stepping into an EdServ centre chooses the job position matching his/her skill set, qualification and job preference — even before starting a course. The course content, fees and duration are decided based on the job that a student chooses.

Assessing skills

‘Degree-to-job’ is accomplished for a college student by continuous assessments of skills as the person starts the course, and validating the course and grades with industry requirements, the company says.

The Chennai-based company has centres in Chennai, Bangalore, Kochi, Hyderabad, Coimbatore, Dhanbad and Bhubaneswar. It is signing up centres in Patna, Aurangabad, Mumbai and New Delhi. EdServ has clients like Allsec Technologies, Westside, Softlogic systems, ICICI Prudential and Intellinet, says the release.
