The Hindu Business Line : New MRPL managing director

Mr Uttam Kumar Basu has assumed office as Managing Director of Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Ltd (MRPL) with effect from September 1. The company has informed the BSE that Mr R. Rajamani, who was the Managing Director of the company, superannuated on August 31. Consequent to his retirement, Mr Basu has assumed the office of the Managing Director of the company. His appointment has been made by the Union Government, it said. Mr Basu, a chemical engineer from Jadhavp ur University, has over three decades of experience in refinery operations and management in Indian Oil Corporation Ltd.
