SBT bags award for micro lending

Thiruvananthapuram, Sept. 2

State Bank of Travancore (SBT) has bagged the Special Award amongst the associate banks of State Bank of India under the National Award for Excellence in lending to Micro and Small Enterprises (MSE).

The award, instituted by the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, is in recognition of the performance of SBT in lending to MSE sector during 2007-08. Last year also, SBT had bagged the award. Meanwhile, SBT has opened its Representative Office in Dubai, UAE, its first overseas office. - Our Bureau
