Money & Banking - Public Sector Banks
Allahabad Bank initiatives

Kolkata, Sept. 2

Kolkata-headquartered Allahabad Bank has launched savings bank, retail term deposits and recovery campaigns throughout the country. Mr K R Kamath, Chairman and Managing Director, launched the campaigns from Kolkata on Monday, said a press statement issued by the bank.

The campaigns aim to broad-base the clientele and contain cost of deposits in the backdrop of stress on profitability front. They would also provide an opportunity to unleash the hidden potentials in every employee, Mr Kamath said. The bank plans to organise road shows, march for deposits and person-to-person contact to create awareness about deposit mobilisation and attracting prospective customers. - Our Bureau
