Hyderabad, Sept. 24 The Centre for Cellular & Molecular Biology (CCMB) has bagged the Technology Award 2008 of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR).

The award, for which CSIR received several nominations from private and public organisations, is for the Novel Universal Technique to establish the identity of the enormous number of animal species for forensic applications developed by the CCMB team — Dr Lalji Singh and Dr S.K. Verma.

This is the fourth time CCMB has bagged the coveted Technology Award from CSIR, which will be presented on CSIR Foundation Day on September 26 and carries a cash award of Rs 2 lakh, a plaque and citation, according to a press release from CCMB, here.
