Our Bureau New Delhi, Sept. 27 After a gap of a fortnight, the national Capital was again the target of terror. A bomb blast in a flower market in South Delhi on Saturday afternoon claimed the life of a young boy and left at least 18 people injured, some of them seriously. Police claim that at about 2.15 p.m. two men riding a black motorcycle dropped a black polythene bag containing a tiffin box opposite an electronic goods shop in the flower market soon after which the blast occurred. “The two youth were in black dress, were wearing black helmets and riding a motorcycle. So it has not been possible for the eye witnesses to identify them,” said Mr Ajay Kashyap, Joint Commissioner of Delhi Police (Southern Range). The blast at the Mehrauli flower market occurred exactly two weeks after a series of blasts at commercial locations in the city, which killed more than 20 people and left about 60 others injured. Security tightenedSoon after the blast, the Home Minister, Mr Shivraj Patil, reviewed the situation with top officials of his Ministry. Security around the city was also tightened with the police setting up road blocks in several areas. In several markets traders association were seen making announcements asking shoppers to be more alert and report any suspicious object. Meanwhile, the Delhi Chief Minister, Ms Sheila Dikshit announced a compensation of Rs 5 lakh to the family members of the boy killed in the blast apart from providing Rs 50,000 to each of the injured. The State will also provide all necessary medical assistance free of charge, the Chief Minister said. While condemning the blast, the Vice-President, Mr M.
