Hyderabad, Sept 28 The Zurich-based Zepter International Group is planning to set up a joint venture company in India for direct-selling of various products offered by the group.

“We are currently talking to a couple of Indian corporates for partnerships and the joint venture is likely to be floated by January,” Mr Zoran Vajovic, Managing Director, Zepter International India Pvt Ltd, told newspersons at the launch of its cookware products in Andhra Pradesh here on Sunday.

Zepter, which has been in India since 1995, is also planning to launch its medical and cosmetics products in India. “Our medical and cosmetics products are based on light therapy techniques and are very successful in global markets,” he said.

The 5.5 billion euro group is also in the process of expanding its distribution network in India. “We have eight distributors in major cities in India and this might go up to 15 in next one year,” Mr Vajovic said.

Zepter had a turnover of Rs 7 crore in India during the last financial year.
