Merc sales cross 3,000 units till Q3

Pune, Oct 6

Mercedes-Benz India has sold over 3,000 cars during the first three quarters of the current year, reflecting a 56 per cent growth in sales over the corresponding period of last year. “We are delighted to cross the 3,000 sales figure mark for the first time and have already set our sights on many more. We will continue to grow and remain competitive in an already ultra dynamic market,” Dr Wilfried Aulbur, Managing Director and CEO, Mercedes-Benz India, said. By the end of the September 2008, the company sold 524 units of the S Class and 1,450 units of the new C Class that made its debut at the Delhi Auto Expo this January. The E Class continues to be the favourite of the Indian customer with sales of 921cars. —
