Harbinger Group launches presentation software tool

Our Bureau

Pune, Oct. 13 Harbinger Group, Pune-based software products and services player, on Monday added ‘Yawnburster’ to its existing line of products. The company has Raptivity, Elicitus and Teeming Pod as products in the e-learning space.

Talking to presspersons, Mr Vikas Joshi, Chairman and Managing Director, Harbinger Group, said Yawnburster could be used in corporate training, education, sales presentations and business meetings. The idea is to make presentations more lively and interactive. Yawnbuster brings together Powerpoint and Flash, popular tools used in presentations and web development.

He noted that with Yawnburster, a Powerpoint user can quickly and easily introduce Flash-based group activities in the presentation with no need for programming. It also has group activities such as audience polls, games, group exercises and competitions. The presenters can also get their audience to participate and identify key takeaways of their sessions.

Mr Vikas said the introductory price, valid till December 31 this year, for regular users would be $240 and for the education, Government and non-profit organisations it would be $180.

Compatible platforms

It would be a desktop licence and upgrades would be available at discount prices. He said it would be compatible with Microsoft Office 2003, 2007, Windows XP, Vista and Flash 9.0 and above versions. He said the patent for the software architecture is pending.

Mr Vikas said over the next two months, it would be launching Yawnburster at seven locations — San Jose, Salt Lake City, Orlando, Shanghai, London, Paris and Berlin.

It would be showcasing the product at the conference for educators and trainers for sufficient validation. He said it would leverage its direct presence in the country, the US and the UK, as well as its channel partner network to reach markets in 40 countries.
